Hi guys,
Well, after prolonged absence, I've finally been able to resubscribe to the WAB list. I'm very pleased to be back and I'm really looking forward to finding out what issues are being discussed at the moment.
One thing I'm sure that has come up is when will Chariot Wars be out? Well the good news is that it will be back from the printers on Monday, so we'll be able to start sending out copies next week. I've included a copy of the 'press release' below. Speaking personally I can't wait until Monday so that I can see a 'real' copy of the book; somehow mock-ups and printers proofs just aren't the same.

CHARIOT WARS
-----------------------------------------
Chariot Wars by Nigel Stillman is the second supplement for Warhammer Ancient Battles. The sixty-four page book contains detailed army lists and extensive background information for the greatest empires of the ancient Middle East.
What's In It?
-----------------
Chariot Wars includes:
Which Armies Are Covered?
----------------------------------------
Chariot Wars includes lists for all of the following armies: Sumerian (also covers Akkadian empire), Egyptian (New Kingdom), Hittite (also covers Mitannians and Cannanites), Trojan Wars (covers Myceneans, Minoans, Trojans and Sea Peoples), Israelites, Hammarabic empire, Assyrian empire (also covers Babylonians and Elamites).
Why'd You Do It?
----------------------------
When we published Warhammer Ancient Battles we always planned to do army books to go along with it. Rather than just presenting the lists on their own, we were keen that the books should also act both as a guide to the history of the period and how to collect and game with an army in that period. Chariot Wars is the first of the supplements for Warhammer Ancient Battles presented in this style, and thus is far more than just a set of army lists.
What's In The Book?
-------------------------------
Chariot Wars is split into seven chapters, one for each of the army lists. Each chapter provides historical information on the background and character of the army, so you will know when the army fought, against whom, and what tactics it used. The army list itself includes descriptions of the troops that fought in the army, and details of how they operate in Warhammer Ancient Battles (points values, characteristics, equipment, and so on). In addition there are timelines for each army based on controversial new research, as well as notes on painting the army, on organising your wargames army and the tactics to use with it.
Is It Well Illustrated?
-------------------------------
It certainly is! Chariot Wars includes a wealth of black and white illustrations by the multi-talented Perry twins. In addition there is an eight page section that includes four full-colour plates showing the uniforms worn by the armies included in the book, and photographs of models from the Perry twins extensive collection of Foundry miniatures and wargames terrain. The illustrations help to bring the armies to life and show just how fascinating and colourful an historical period this was.
